They wanted to stay in Afghanistan even after 20 years but 2 years of Ukraine is too much.

Maybe not every democrat is a progressive and that’s why they vote against them? That’s democracy, not everyone agrees with you and sometimes you don’t get your way. Gotta work to change people’s mind and not just say fuck ‘em.
That’s not what I said. Moderate dems need to lose to progressives and not to conservatives to move the party left.
I don’t understand why people think the democrats losing to someone farther right would make them move left. Doesn’t it make more sense they’d move to the right since that’s what more voters wanted?
It was super easy to sign up but ultimately it’s missing a lot of features and is why people didn’t stick around. There’s still no search or hashtags so finding content that interests you is basically luck with the algorithm.
What is the point of using something that’s federated if we all have to do things the same way? Sounds like you just want a centralized site where you get to make the rules.
You don’t need to get consensus though. The Fediverse isn’t a monolith and you can change servers if you feel the one you’re on isn’t working for you anymore.
Just because they haven’t launched in the EU yet doesn’t mean they won’t. They were clearly rushing to get this out the door. I’d be absolutely shocked if they don’t go to the EU since Facebook and Instagram are there already.
That’s true but connecting to the fediverse is definitely trying to keep the government off their back about being a monopoly. Playing nice is in their best interests for now. If that ever changes they can be defederated at the point.
You’re right. It’s all FUD at this point. There’s nothing stopping servers from federating for now and then disconnecting later if an actual issue comes up.
Microsoft changed and so could Meta. They’re out to make money not just to be evil so if they think this will make them money they would do it.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer piece of trash.
Does this only affect Chrome or all Chromium based browsers? Are Brave and Edge going to be implementing this too?
