Is said trash can full or empty though? Those are two completely different scales.

          What is this commie ‘meter’?

Uh, it’s the length a photon travels under vacuum during a time interval between two hyperfine ground states of caesium-133 divided by 299792458. Duh.

Mm science :3 I prefer to think of a meter as roughly 3 light nanoseconds

I love the fact that imperial is legally defined in it’s relation to metric btw :3. Like the US uses metric they just have to abstract it for some reason

This actually seems quite reasonable, it can give you a pretty good idea of how strong winds are if you’ve not experienced the distance between 40kmph and 60kmph before

Yeah numbers are pretty hard to conceptualize unless you already know what they mean. The addition I would do is put the actual numbers there as well at the same time, so you could get a good reference with an example

I’m curious to see how Trump will manipulate this index to further his climate change denial.

It may be counterintuitive, but a bin is more likely to be down the street, than in the neighbor’s yard. Because the wind will blow the bin along the open street more easily than it will force it up a curb or driveway.

I’ve found my bin halfway down the street several times here in NM. I’ve never had it end up in the neighbor’s yard.
