Nice analysis of the different pieces and why they work well
“The Grid.”
“A digital frontier.”
“I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer.”
What did they look like?
Ships? Motorcycles?
I tried to picture a world I thought I’d never see.
And then, one day, I got in.
BAWM BAAWWWWWWMMMMMMAWEMMMMMM

I actually had no idea the whole thing was done by them. This is a great video, love this movie
I’ve literally never seen the movie and this is one of my favorite albums.
worth a watch
Probably the best Daft Punk Music video out there. Wonder if there are any soundtrack-only edits available
You might find this post interesting?
I mean, it is not a great Movie, but the score is so good that I feel it elevates it.
Mediocre movie, best Daft Punk music video.
Someone’s never seen Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem
AKA: How Daft Punk worked with people who know how to make movie scores and made a soundtrack with them, the video shows that composers tie musical elements to on-screen dynamics and themes.
I’m not sure that the video sells the title. It’s a really good soundtrack, I think they made a great choice with Daft Punk’s style and input as a driving theme for the soundtrack. The video is more of “here’s what they did to make the soundtrack” rather than explain why this soundtrack is the best Daft Punk when compared to the rest of their discography.
The Fall
I was lucky enough to attend a live gig of Daft Punk in Paris. Key memory of my life.
Sydney 2007. Best night ever.
Would you say it was the prime time of your life?
I see what you did there. ;)
But to answer your question - I’ve been to Paris only twice so far. First for Daft Punk live, second time for Justice live. Both bands are from there and the gigs were truly outstanding. Maybe I am a bit biased in that regard since I used to play Electronica music myself until I wrecked my hearing at a live gig on stage.
