However most ISPS don’t have the migration resolved correctly using a different provider and keeping the number. Therefore, check if your ISP has a digital voice solution. If they do, then switch that first, which will disconnect your number from your line. Then port out as required.
If the provider doesn’t have a digital voice solution, then the only option is to migrate to a new provider who does and has setup so they can migrate your number as well. Then port to your preferred provider.
