  • I would almost agree but I’m fascinated how this uncontrolled migration narrative has evolved from the right wing conspiracy it is to becoming a commonly accepted „truth“.

Yes, Germany has done the right thing in 2015 and has shown humanity. Yes, the Dublin process was a massive fuckover and it’s also Germany‘s fault. But then small right wing nations along with our homegrown Nazi movements started throwing tantrums and now the Overton window has moved so far that politicians and media have completely adopted this narrative.

The low wage sector in full force has existed since the introduction of Hartz IV. It also extends to highly skilled jobs such as software engineering. For pretty much every skilled job from blue collar work until AI engineering we can’t find enough people because oftentimes the wages are ridiculous. However even in high skilled jobs this doesn’t mean that companies adjust the wages to create more demand, they just keep complaining that no one wants to work anymore.

    I don’t buy that argument.

Idk man it’s really not a competition. AI powered automated genocide and industrialized genocide are both horrible in their own way and to me absolutely dystopian nightmares. Same way how China uses AI to track every aspect of their citizens lives + also genocide.

  • Just for the record I reported this for being misinformation. The AFD is a party full of Nazis, an example: https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/may/14/german-court-fines-afd-bjorn-hocke-using-banned-nazi-phrase

It was also ruled by a German court that it is legal to call that same convicted guy a nazi. This is the same party who held a conference in Potsdam close to Wannsee to deport people deemed not „German“ enough to Africa. Maybe the location and topic ring a bell to those familiar with Nazi history.

For those who are not: The Wannsee-Konferenz during the nazi time was considered the beginning of the holocaust where the Nazis discussed the „final solution of the Jew-question“. Members of AFD, CDU and other small movements, as well as some wealthy private persons have met at a similar place to discuss a similar topic very recently.

There’s nothing to argue about here and looking at the post history of this user they seem to be spreading nazi apologist content.

  • You can be against religion but your example with the kuffiyeh is a bad one because it’s a nationalistic symbol that is worn by Palestinians of any religion (or thereby lack of) plus their supporters.

Those familiar with French society and the debates over the Hijab in many European countries also know that laicism or any other secularist laws are usually abused by conservative politicians as a masquerade to introduce discriminatory laws against Muslims.

Especially French lawmakers are notorious in this aspect. As another commenter already mentioned, Christians wearing a cross usually don’t have any issues.

Belgium as in this case is also not much better in this aspect even though I’m not aware they have a laicist state philosophy.

  • Astroturfers losing their jobs to AI. I imagine some poor guy coming home after a long day of warmongering and promoting nuclear energy, hanging up his coat: „honey, I’m home“. And the wife has prepared a beautiful dinner, it could be a wonderful day. „How was work today?“, the wife asks. And the guy has to tell her how he lost his job to the evil twin brother of ChatGPT because corporate has done the math and they realized that a bot can replace possibly hundreds of humans. It’s a tragedy really, how is the guy going to pay for his mortgage? How’s he gonna feed his family? I think astroturfers should unionize to combat this kind of automation. It creates harm to society.
