Weird
Every time I post it’s in the wrong community or against some rule and I get the hammer
I post things I want to see, but I’m apparently alone in that desire
Actual explanation, Craig Ferguson was a late night talk show host. At some point he had Grant Imahara from myth busters build him a robot Co host, he did, it had an articulated head and mouth and arms that moved - and it had a sound board. The sound board offered, of course, limited options. He had a few phrases that he could say. Later they revised Geoff and had him voiced by the actor linked in the video above. He said things like in your pants, balls, etc. and it was generally hilarious. I loved the show, the sketches, and as a Dad, enjoy old jokes. There are at least 4 of us who got it, so… Mission accomplished pretty much
Agree it’s not that complicated Many ddns providers can update aaaa just as they do a records… Most isp should either be providing some range of native ipv6 addresses, or some kind of 4-to-6 translation. It’s 2024 - we’re beyond RFC 791 specs I find it helpful to deal with prefix delegation by providing a “token” for nmcli to use. Then the ddns script can locate your defined suffix and push it to to the host
Here in this country we only support domestically based driver surveillance tech 🇺🇲
Melting pot
Good things: you get someone to spend time with. Frequent sex. Someone to share your world with.b you tell your secrets, you trust them
Bad things: they have their own needs, even when it isn’t convenient for you. You have to accept that you’re a partnership, and their judgement is important. You trust them, whether or not they deserve it. You are open and vulnerable, which means you’re vulnerable. Sex can be mechanical and unfulfilling. Your growth needs to include them
I had no idea I even did that. I read it several times and in my head it was britches the whole time
Same question - why aren’t businesses responsible for maintaining enough security, with damages due for those whose information they misplace.
Was it a stupid question?
Yep this. They are afraid that their way of life is being threatened… Just like the other fanatics There are religious fanatics, sporta fanatics, Independent fanatics prepping for the aliens to come and kill them, etc. Mobs are dangerous no matter the flag they wave.
All those bombs and planes and tanks and drones and machinery of death emit CO2 - also the burning rubble and bodies
Look around, we’re killing ourselves at every possible opportunity
Practice good hygiene and it’ll be fine The trouble is that modern apps are forced to adopt features which depend on the new OS. Your old one will be incompatible, on purpose
The security aspect is secondary to the monetary growth and recuperation of investment in the new OS.
They spent all those monies to make it “AI” betting that you will eat it up and pay up. Now there will be significant pressure for them to “increase adoption” or someone gets fired
It’s to support all those artists right? Right?
I just had Mac n cheese with green Chile and meatballs. I liked it 👍
I remember it being pretty incredible that there were other users out there I could talk to. I had heard about email and I got an address! I didn’t know anyone to email, but I had an address! Chat was amazing. BBS systems offered text games, like LORD - which also took things to a new level. Participation in discussion forums on BBSes and AOL led me to forums on the Web. At school we used to use gopher but the www was more fun (if you could see past the construction sign graphics) and you could always see the hit counters and guestbook links on most pages. Then the construction signs got more sophisticated and animated😀 The early-mid-90s Internet was glorious. Google showed up after Yahoo was too littered with ads… Some guys in college made a search engine that prioritized speed - dreadfully important at analog speeds…
If it isn’t meant for others to see, what’s wrong with a .txt file you just add notes to?
Just let an algorithm decide. What could go wrong?
Why?
