Oh fuck you got me
If it’s any consolation, I freaking HATED rosattis when I moved to Illinois, but it grew on me.
Runner up is MOD, love their Dominic pizza
I’m just here so I can post the 1000th comment
Chicago, rosattis pizza
1: we’ve been waiting for the masses to arrive for about 2 years now, there was a peak, then a significant fall off 2: there is a solution, and we talk about it all the time: simplify onboarding
I think you may just not be hanging around in the instance development and community servers if you’re not seeing these conversations
I think you’re forgetting Lemmy already has a pretty high barrier to entry tech wise, I think most of us will be fine.
I mean, this is kind of silly to say though. Don’t support them, but if you’re looking for a serious graphic design career, just learn Adobe suite, they share most of the same workflow so if you learn one or two you learn the basics of all of them.
You get to be versatile and hireable
Yeah looks just fine to me, trailers a bit dull but the only noticable change is an ogre with an ombre hair dye
People are just hating to hate, don’t even think about why they hate anymore
Careful guys someone didn’t get their cheerios this morning, he’s extra cranky
Nah no dice, already tried lux and it wouldn’t work
I’ve tried lux, no go
Because I’m not always trying to scan something, like, if you’re in the Starbucks app ordering something and you accidentally click the card screen and you’re blasted in the face. I hate that shit, I’ll turn my own screen brightness up thank you
Yes and this is something I’ve searched for, and not found. But saying “rooting?” Does not mean “try x y and z modules”
So rooting is just allowing access to the root folders of your device and your kernel, rooting your phone doesn’t do anything to prevent forced brightness changes

I’ve looked super hard into forcing android to never have its brightness hijacked. Haven’t been able to find a single workaround

Hell yeah, plus, rednote is so much less toxic than American social media so far, have had maybe like 2 bad interactions my entire time there
Right now, Lemmy is unfortunately full of a few dozen small, super-passionate echo chambers. People get very emotionally charged takes that can sound nonsense to anyone outside their bubble—but to them, it’s considered the absolute reality of the situation
