Ran out of butter last week and found out when I went to make a little bit of fudge. I used the bacon fat I strain and keep in a jar in the fridge. I usually don’t care for bacon tasting desserts, but I wasn’t mad about that decision at all.

Yeah it’s not like the shoes aren’t getting scanned either. They still go with the person through a scanner
Been wondering if those Brio things were any good, I just don’t have the money to spend on replacement filters. But hooking a water line up to it and having hot/cold water that has gone through the reverse osmosis process would be nice. They are like $400 though, and $150 after that a year in filters last I saw.
That first one is nothing and I’d call it fine. Second one is fucking horrible, third one’s drunk.
Then when texts came around they costed extra, just for funsies. Limited number with possibly massive fees for going over. Yet the texts took up no real room that the phones weren’t already using to communicate with towers
Your VPN bypasses the blocks? Mine doesn’t do that. What are you using if you don’t mind me asking?
I noticed a couple months back that I hadn’t changed my homepage in years and usually used some stupid launcher that never made things quicker for me.
Ended up realizing the best homepage for myself would just be one of the archive sites, so I set it to archive.ph so anytime I click on an article and it loads like shit I can just copy the link click home and paste. Has been surprisingly helpful. Although I am wondering if we archive would have been better. Time will tell u suppose
Update that no one will likely see but I said I messaged them so I figured I’d say the result. They updated the article to replace all instances of South America with North America.
(Message was sent via the authors personal website, as I dont use X) https://www.danielledewolfe.com/
Maybe I just haven’t paid attention but this last section seems to hit different now:
“The Associated Press Health and Science Department receives support from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Department of Science Education and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The AP is solely responsible for all content.”
The fuck is that, journalistic integrity? Updating an article when there is a potential mistake and owning it…
Safer for kids as well. They don’t stay on and apparently people say water without something breaking the surface tension can pop in the microwave when you go to pull it out (never had it happen to me, but I have only tried a handful of times in my life… always had a teapot or electric kettle). … Or a pot. I used to just throw the teabags in a pot and pour it into a pitcher / cup after
Use it all the time, but rarely for tea. Boiling a few eggs last night. Half the water in the electric kettle, half in the pot on high, join half way through to speed up the process. Making ramen, kettle. There is always some reason I find it useful.
My first thought was swamp… But this might not be Dagobah.
I just think of the womb as being upper 90s and moist.
Someone really should investigate that preacher because there is a near 100% chance he is a pedophile.
Thanks! I’ll look into that, this could be useful for me then after all. This is why it’s always good to ask questions
Not sure, I just saw the 6 day thing in the article, that would be nice though
Edit: vorpal says you should be able to using ACME https://programming.dev/comment/17987211
Maybe I’m not understanding it but I can’t see what I would use this for due to the 6 day issue period. Bringing a NAS up to copy data for a couple days is the only real use case I find for home users.
Because even if you pay for a static external IP from your ISP, this doesn’t support using such for longer than that period right?
Fucking cavemen and their science knowledge
Oh definitely. Individual metal smooth ball, fine. 10 of them not touching fine. 9 spoons not touching, fine. But if one touches the wall of the microwave or another of the objects there will be a quick spark, and depending on how long the contact, maybe a flame+
Caveman posted a video below that basically shows without rough edges, your usually okay https://lemmy.world/comment/18066606
Note, stainless steel and glass lids are made for microwave safe containers.
$300 shoes? I think the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought were $70. I’m sure a lot of the issue with him getting picked on isn’t so much brand name but him feeling like he has no say in what he wears and feeling like he is dressed by his parents in styles he has no say in. Its been 25 years since I entered middle school like this kid, but back then I would have felt the same way if my parents were forcing me to wear something I didn’t like/want. It wasn’t about price either. Often times the shoes my parents wanted me to wear were the same or higher in price, but styles change over time and vary by region/groups. People have their own personalities and prefer to fit in if they can. If the kid doesn’t want to feel like a toddler and have more freedom in what they wear it isn’t a bad thing.
