This is the perfect Christmas gift and the new upgrade looks great! Excited to see Lemmy continue growing. It’s really helped improve my relationship with social media and cut back on my doomscrolling while encouraging me to participate and break out of my lurker shell.

I use an external Lemmy instance list.

I apologize. This morning, whatever search terms I used, brought back many articles stating they were debunked. This afternoon with different search terms, I am seeing more back and forth on the validity of these tests. It’s also not something I have heard psychologists use in regards to mental health.

It’s been debunked as an inaccurate measurement of intelligence so it feels more like a Buzzfeed quiz result nowadays.

It has been a long time since I’ve seen someone mention their IQ score unironically.

The transparency and clear communication really make this place feel like a community. Especially when we can directly see the impact we have on this instance.

I knew my elementary knowledge of Japanese would come in handy some day.

I used the Lists feature like this on Twitter. One of my most popular ones is the “Official Xbox Feed” list that had Xbox employees, developers, and official accounts all in one place. I made it for personal use but it now has 100+ followers.

Mine are the same way but with lunch meat. I will never be able to make a sandwich in peace. Trying to be inconspicuous is impossible when they have noses that can smell my every action.

I support these new rules.

I couldn’t bring myself to watch these videos but I asked a friend who’s more resilient to cringe to watch for me and here is what she reported back:

• In the first video he covers his marriage and then halfway through begins talking about why women and men lie about their age, then complains about Chinese people being in Japan, talks about going to a university, then cooks some pasta.
• In the second video he complains about missing a package delivery and walks to the post office, gets his divorce papers, and vents about stuff he left in Japan. Discusses the contents of a letter his ex-wife sent him, and then his personal feelings about the divorce. Ends with cooking.
• In the third video he talks about the financial benefits of purchasing a “rubberized girlfriend”, which cost him $328, how there’s no risk of pregnancy, STIs, bleeding, rejection ("she can’t say no”), or crying. Ends with cooking and doxes himself.
• In the fourth video he talks about why he doesn’t wash his rubberized girlfriend because of how difficult it is to clean it. “It feels like washing a baby in the sink or a raw chicken.” He also states he likes the smell of himself. Currently lives with his parents. Ends with cooking.
