Thanks! I’ll look into it

Funny thing, I’m actually playing rimworld right now!
NOTE: Someone probably has developed it, but I’m too poor to buy a decent computer.
I’ve been wanting the shittiest, most grindy military logistics game possible for a bit now. Like, “oh you didn’t upgrade your Sock factory? Fuck you now your platoon has trench foot” type Grindy.
I want to feel pain
I’m not an expert by any means, but I want to say that something similar happened in Australia. Basically, they gave everyone the deal of, say, $500 per gun if turned in voluntarily, or seizure and no money if found. Then they simply restricted ammo sales and eventually the problem fixed itself. (Source: my ass)
Okay I’m going to eat the onion. What are words 5 and the last one?
One thing that I’ve noticed as someone trying to wean myself off of Reddit: Lemmy just feels more chill. Like no I don’t have to open it every few minutes and doomscroll, it’s going to be a lot slower coming than the firehouse that is Reddit.
Tbf I don’t think that’s a design as much as it is just smaller, but it still feels nice.
“Hey, I’ve seen this one!”
+1 for hoopla. Just discovered it last week at my local library, already on my second audiobook!

Bang bang Sodastream gang
Actually the other day I made a delicious Greek wrap that’s very similar to what you’re describing, but I also added fish. All it had was chickpeas, cucumbers, onions, black olives, and feta cheese. Then I made a garlic and lemon sauce and tossed the salad in it. I wrapped it in a tortilla and it was great!

One thing that I think would be interesting would be a small change to the upvote downvote system. Instead of just showing the total upvote -downvote, you could instead have a percentage, say as a pie chart. That way a user could visually see how agreeable/disagreeable a controversial topic is, instead of just + and - karma.
I definitely think that Lemmy has potential. Now that it’s attracting tons of new users, it will only take a few coats of polish to make it easily accessible for the average person.
Oh okay, sounds neat. I’ve never really been that into Discord, unfortunately. I’d like to use Peertube more too, but it seems pretty empty rn, and idk anything about making videos!
I know peertube, but what is matrix?
Same here. I never used twitter, but joined Mastodon and have enjoyed it. I’ll use lemmy and expect (hope!) that it will get polished and streamlined enough to take over Reddit
2002 Tundra here. It is definitely the perfect size for a truck. However, now that it’s pretty old and beat up, and I’ve moved into a denser city, I think it’s getting time for something new :(
