I’ll admit I was a minor fan of him. He seemed to have his ego pointed in a good direction. It was around the time those kids got stuck in a cave that I realised something was off.
I was never a hyper fan, but I’ll admit I was completely taken in by his PR machine, for a time.

The numbers do speak for themselves.
While it’s not huge, compared to reddits numbers, it’s a massive boost to lemmy. A lot of those leaving are more likely more active users. It’s bootstrapped Lemmy into a viable platform. It now has a critical mass of users to generate content.
It doesn’t exist in an inertial frame of reference. In a non-inertial frame it’s a perfectly valid force
