It also strongly encourages people to return their ballots in person likely because the GOP is already set to challenge mail-in ballots as “rigged”.

It’s not a “community”, it’s one person making all the posts because I guess they wanted to make hating Linux their entire personality. 🤷
Buying a social media network: $40 billion
Buying a US election: $0.13 billion
Democracy is fucked.
I think you need to be more explicit about what you mean by “not dependent on time”. Setting t = 1 for that formula doesn’t eliminate time, it means you’re advancing time by 1 unit for every iteration of the formula defined by the units used to measure the velocity and acceleration (i.e. if v and u are measured in meters/second and a is meters/second^2 then t = 1 means you are modelling 1 second passing).
If you mean deterministic as in there are no outside influences, instead you’d want to take the distance the object needs to travel before it hits something in it’s current trajectory then work backward to find out how much time it would take to cover that distance at the current velocity and acceleration.
That team writes emulators that run directly on Nintendo consoles, so they would likely test it on development versions of those consoles the same way actual console games are developed and tested. Otherwise they would be testing a Switch version of an SNES emulator running inside a Switch emulator on a Windows PC that would introduce it’s own errors.
I personally don’t think it’s so likely that Nintendo would write and maintain a Windows emulator just for their museum if an open-source project exists that they could legally use for free under that project’s license terms. Only someone with insider knowledge would be able to say for sure though.
Emulator projects should all add a clause in their EULA that specifically forbids Nintendo from using their software, then they can sue Nintendo for breaching their license. Give them a taste of their own medicine.
Yeah, Tesla made this claim about the model X being full self driving in 5 years and being able to become an autonomous taxi while you weren’t using it. Still waiting on that one…
I promise you there are older and weirder people in the world who can still find love and fulfillment. Yeah it might be harder, but it is still possible. The most important step is to take care of yourself first. Seriously, look into therapy or support groups. You are not alone in this struggle.
I mean this in the kindest way possible: I think you need some mental health support. Failure isn’t something you are, it’s merely something that happens and it happens to the best of us. You can always change, but it takes some effort and the will to change. Having more self-esteem will really help you find the type of sexual relationship you seem to be seeking.
The call screening is done on-device, but if you flag a screened call as spam then you get the option to send the recording to Google. I’m guessing those get fingerprinted and then used to detect spam when screening other calls.
Clearly I wasn’t using the figures in that article because I said it was 400 over 25 years, not 240 in a single year. Even in that article they say they were able to confirm at least 12 shootings in that year, supporting my estimated average of 1 per month.
Also children don’t have to be actually shot to be traumatized by a shooting. The number of children affected by school shootings is thousands of times higher than the number of injuries or deaths.
There’s an even better way to handle spam calls if you have a recent Android phone: use the automated call screening. Every time robocallers hang up immediately before saying a single word because they know if the person flags the call as spam then Google now has a recording to automatically flag future calls even if they spoof new phone numbers.
If only…
According to a quick search I could only find 2 cases of tornadoes hitting US schools in the last 25 years, giving an average of about 1 school tornado hit per 12 years. I believe it’s fair to say that was overblown.
However, in the same 25 years there have been over 400 school shootings in the US, meaning there is an average of about 1 school shooting per month. I’d say that’s a pretty reasonable fear.
Also one is an “act of god” while the other is entirely man-made. Keep the thought and prayers for the one god is actually responsible for.
When did people stop wanting to learn anything? Everything has to be dumbed down to the level of toddlers otherwise people can’t be bothered.
To me the fediverse is great because you need higher than a room temperature IQ to use it so the posts are already far greater quality and the interactions are more meaningful than any other social network. Meta can keep all the screaming adult children in their platform.
They’re too late, there’s going to be way too much AI generated garbage in their data and so many social media platforms like Reddit and Twitter have already taken measures to curb scrapers.
Wrong, Bitcoins are mined at a fixed rate that decreases over time until the supply reaches 21 million, then there will be no new Bitcoins created: https://crypto.com/bitcoin/how-many-bitcoins-are-there
Easy: Votes are an unlimited resource because a user can vote on as many posts as they want and a person can create basically unlimited user accounts, thus the fediverse would be like a market where everyone can create money out of thin air, defeating the purpose of having a market at all.
The fediverse would be more like a market if users had to “earn” votes by posting stuff other people vote on then “spend” those votes on other people’s posts. Then votes would be a limited resource that would make sense to apply market principles to.
My new rule of social media: Unless I know and trust the person or the organization making a post, I assume it’s worthless unless I double check it against a person or organization I trust. Opinions are also included in this rule.
Just going to leave this here with proof that Elmo said cars would be fully driving themselves by 2018: https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/autonomous-driving/timeline-of-tesla-self-driving-aspirations-a9686689375/
