    Looking more into the song, wow:

    Ebin is named after a former classmate of Bradley Nowell’s from UC Santa Cruz. However, the lyrics to the song are entirely fictional and unrelated to the real Eben (Bradley misspelled his name), who was not at all a Nazi. In fact, he was Jewish! While Eben was initially disturbed by the song, especially because he believed that Bradley had stolen its melody from his song “Celebration,” he admired Bradley’s voice and eventually became a devoted Sublime fan, even growing to like the song “Ebin.”
