Several months back I was able to take home an APC high voltage smart ups (SMX3000RMHV2U) from work that they were getting rid of. I was planning on incorporating into my lab once I got a rack, which I was able to get a few weeks back for my r720, brocade switch and a few optiplexes.
Now for reasons beyond me its only now dawning on me that I may need a step down given all the outlets are for 208-240v and I assume will overvolt all my equipment over time. As far as I can tell theres no settings to step it down to 110/120v. I may just have a free piece that I cant use, but I wanted to check all the same before I needlessly got an AP9626 or something similar to use it at all.
Added bonus is you’ll save some electricity by using 208 or 240V as it’s more efficient.
You may need to pick up some C14 to Nema 15 cables for anything that’s using a standard 120V plug. I suggest labelling the plug as 208V or 240V so you don’t accidentally plug in something that really is only 120V capable.
