I got myself my first server which is a supermicro and I just have been having problems with it from proxmox to storage but for now I want to fix the IPMI so I get remote help. I have two ethernet cables connected to the server, one to the IPMI port and the other one to the LAN port which connect to my cisco switch and that is connected to my ISP router. However, my ISP remote access doesn’t see the server as a connected device in the ethernet section and as a result I cannot use IPMI in my windows machine browser. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this and if I need to take any further steps to allow another user outside my network to use this IPMI?
