Managed to nab Ford for not very much budget at all this morning while everyone else was fighting over Williams. And next highest bid was from my opponent this week who just lost Chubb. Feels good!
I’ve also stashed Jayden Reed, after drafting him but then having to cut week 1 for a Kelce replacement. Love hasn’t exactly been slinging it but I just have a good feeling about those two in future.
Dropped OBJ, I only drafted him as a late-round “just in case” flex and tbh couldn’t see a situation where I’d ever start him so what’s the point. If he blows up and I miss out, he blows up and I miss out 🤷♀️
Important note: I am crap at fantasy.
I think Tank Dell and Josh Reynolds are good stashes. Reynolds will be at best a second but he’s on a much better offense. Dell may already be number 2 with a path to number 1, but stroud may limit him.
Reynolds honestly might just be a grab and go if you need a guy to start the next couple weeks. He has a good rapport with Goff, having played with him in LA. And with Jameson out 4 more games and never really been healthy in his career he’s going to be the number 2 in a good offense for a long time.
Dell I think will be limited somewhat by stroud but if stroud is throwing 50 times a game because of that crummy defense then it might not matter
The add this week is pretty obvious. Add Jerome Ford and blow the FAAB wad, there won’t be another player more valuable than this to claim all season
I’m stashing Tank Dell, he is almost up there as an add for me. 10 targets last week! But he’s not immediately startable so depending on your league size you can probably sneak him as a FA add.
I’m cutting Kendrick Bourne, I picked him up last week as a bit of an overreaction to week 1 but the Patriots seem to rotate their receivers and so he didn’t have a very good night on Sunday. I don’t really want anyone in that receiving room, except maybe Devante Parker who seems to not be rotated out like the others
As a Pats fan and sometimes Bourne and Parker and Thornton and Gesicki and Henry and Demario owner: no one is free from the whims of Bill. They’ll all get rotated at some time or another.
The one league I really need a flyer on RB is so deep Ford was drafted and still rostered :( Taking a jab at Eric Gray, I like the upside of an untested rookie vs Brieda who’s got an injury history and I imagine is a known quantity for the giants coaches. I also like since every FF resource is saying to pick up Brieda, I can probably get away with a low Faab bid
I like Tank as well, but I already have Nico in 2/3 leagues so not sure if I want to over invest in that WR group. I’m also cutting Bourne - I think the only NE player getting targets that’s going to consistently out perform a FA JAG is Hunter Henry. I wouldn’t trust anyone in that WR room to get me more than 10 points, but at least from a TE that kind of floor is gold.
I lucked into getting Ford because I needed a player for Monday night football in case Cooper couldn’t go. Of course i ended up putting Cooper back in and missed out on all those points but it didn’t matter since the Steelers defense went medieval on me Monday night.
