Representative Al Green, a Texas Democrat, officially introduced new Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

“In starting his illegal and unconstitutional war with Iran without the constitutionally mandated consent of Congress or appropriate notice to Congress, President Trump acted in direct violation of the War Powers Clause of the Constitution,” Green’s articles state.

“President Trump has devolved and continues to devolve American democracy into authoritarianism by disregarding the separation of powers and now usurping congressional war powers.”

This is a developing story and will be updated.

He’s facing new Articles of Impeachment the same way I’m facing new obstacles when walking out the door because a leaf fell on the ground. Technically true, but overwhelmingly meaningless.

There have actually been a decent number of R’s making pretty public appearances and statements to the effect of: Yeah, ok, he’s actually gone too far now.

But on the other end of that, we also have some D’s, like fucking Fetterman, saying… nah bro this bullshit we tried to impeach him already and it didn’t work, we’re just being stupid and mean, stop harassing innocent Donald for no good reason!

      Fucking clownworld I Hate It!

Why? He was impeached TWICE his first term, twice acquitted by a corrupt Senate, and not only was reelected but I don’t recall any consequences for his protectors. So please tell me why this theater that accomplishes nothing other than to make the Dems LOOK like they’re doing something is important.

I don’t claim to have all the answers. But i’ll say that if/when things go back to some form of normal, i’d like the systems that used to work to still be in place. Impeachment is one of those systems.

I agree with the sentiment, but we’ve already seen that impeachment is broken, and has been for at least 6 years.
