Breanna Gayle Devall Runions, 25, was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of Evangaline Gunter.
The child’s parents, Adam and Josie Gunter, told ABC affiliate WATE that Evangaline had been in temporary custody at a home in Rockwood, which Runions shared with girlfriend Christina Daniels and another child, a 7-year-old girl.
Before the shooting, Evangaline and the older girl were being punished that morning by Runions for not waking up the women and for eating Daniels’ food without permission, according to the warrant and a statement from Russell Johnson, district attorney general for Tennessee’s 9th Judicial District. Runions struck both girls with a sandal before forcing them to stand in different corners of the women’s bedroom, authorities said the older girl told them.
After the shooting, the women drove Evangaline to a nearby Walmart location to meet an ambulance, Roane County Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas Boduch told the Roane County News, and the vehicle transported the girl to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Boduch could not immediately be reached by HuffPost.

Gun responsibility is not on their mind at the moment. I will say it as many times as I have to say it, if you have a “negligent discharge” when you are pressing a gun up against another’s chest and pulling the trigger, IT IS INTENTIONAL. Mistake isn’t synonymous with accident buddy. It is a mistake but it is not a fucking accident, you INTENTIONALLY put the gun to a child’s chest, a.d INTENTIONALLY pulled the trigger. You are literally taking away all the responsibility from the individual and demonizing a fucking inanimate object. This is why I do not think you are a rational adult. A firearm will only do the command of someone who is wielding it. If someone wishes to shoot thirty people in a space with it, he will need to command the firearm to shoot and reload in order to do so. If someone wishes to shoot someone who breaks into his home in the middle of the night with a goddamn 12 guage, then he will need to command the firearm to do so.

The difference between all of those things and firearms is that firearms are the great equalizer. They allow someone who couldn’t defend themselves to be on the same playing field as someone with a firearm, or above someone with no firearm.
Yes, I would love to not have guns dude, but I would also prefer not being dead or robbed and not being helped by law enforcement. They only came the second time because the fucker was bleeding out, nothing happened the first time except $70,000 worth of shit was evicted from my home when they realized no cops were coming, and about three bullet holes I had to patch up through two ceilings.
If you want to abstain yourself of firearms, fine, DON’T SHIT ON ME BECAUSE I USE THEM SOLELY FOR PROTECTION. Having firearms has provably saved my life.
