Summary

Illegal migration of Indians to the US is increasing, with over 170,000 detained since 2020, primarily from Punjab and Haryana.

Economic distress, unemployment, and fears of persecution, particularly among Sikhs, drive migration.

Many use costly smuggling networks, entering via Mexico or increasingly through Canada due to easier visa access.

Economic opportunity and social aspirations remain key motivators. US deportations of Indian nationals have surged, and stricter border policies are expected under new leadership, making the journey more perilous.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada–United_States_border

    9000km

    pros:

    • India is much more likely to foot a large portion of the bill than Canada given their relations with their land border neighbors.

    • labor is cheaper

    cons:

    • regardless of whether we build only a land wall or both a land and water wall, this is less efficient. Especially when you want to build on the Himalayas.

    • building a wall, and thus, cementing highly disputed borders in the region could result in war between high population countries with nukes.

Get that science bullshit out of here, that’s not how Trump does things.

You bust out mercator map of the world, then with your tongue slightly sticking out of you mouth you gauge that India looks a little smaller, then you detail your new policy by drawing a wall around India with marker or crayons.
