That situation was bizarre. Peter Dinklage is an amazing actor who either phoned it in hard in Destiny, or he was given really bad direction by a director. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt, since I have never seen him with such a poor performance in anything.
And then with Cayde 6/Nathan Fillion, I assume he was too expensive to bring back, so they killed his character in a fucking trailer for a DLC and briefly recast him for the two missions he had lines in in said DLC.
I was sort of expecting them to go the direction of Cayde 6, instead of Dinklebot.
Every time he delivered a line, you could just imagine him in a dark room alone with one small lamp on the desk, with some reading glasses, reading the script for the first time into a microphone.

I agree that Dinklebot’s performance was not inspiring at all. Most audiobooks I listen too had more emotion and energy.

Weird thing is that Fillion is back as Cayde in the final shape promos.
