Thanks to everyone’s advice last weekend, I’ve been able to get my milk foam much closer to what it should be for latte art. It turned out that I had way too much foam, which is delicious and I love it, but I was never going to get art with it.

Now come the practice rounds.

I’m still inconsistent after almost 2 years in making lattes everyday. Sometimes it’s a heart sometimes it looks like a nut sack it’s all part of the fun. I find it easier to make it look pretty making a leaf

Even less air! And bang the pitcher on the counter and swish it around until those larger bubbles disappear

I got it down by putting the wand in the correct place. Too low and it’s just hot milk. Too high and it’s a cappuccino

It’s in between that makes a latte

I’ve noticed that I can put the wand in far enough to heat the milk, then once it’s near the temp I want, I move it to just under the surface to get the amount of foam I want.

I do the opposite, I get the foam first, then I make a “milk tornado” to mix the foam with the wand deeper in and the container turned a little to the side
