Pay up or they’ll literally shine a light in your eyes.
I was full expected them to board up the strip and make it so you can’t view anything without a ticket or “lucky” hotel room, but wasn’t expecting them to fleece restaurants and bars and threaten obscuring their views. But can’t say I’m surprised
Dumbest move ever. This could be so good for the sport long-term, if they just let everyone watch. Good for public image, good for exposure to new fans, good for long-term profits. But no - they have to go for the short-term money grab. When will corporations ever learn? Never. Because they’re corporations. For-profit never learns.

And when the torch came through the town they closed off every road in the town for three days. The damn thing only took an hour to go past.
Anyway this was a bit of rant and I know it’s been 11 years but it still pisses me off.
So I sympathise with what the residents of Vegas are going through.

“Liberty” Media. Also, the Ministry of Peace has declared war on Eastasia, and the Ministry of Plenty has declared that rations will be reduced in the coming months.
Oh no the poor little multi-million dollar gambling and hotel businesses, whatever shall they do…
Not all of them. Some of them are small restaurants and bars that are being pressured into paying $1,500 per person based on the legal capacity of the building just because they happen to be next to the track.
This sounds like some slimy fuckery from Liberty. Ugh…
So business as usual from Liberty, then.
Yeah, pretty much.
