    In the video they mention how these firearms use 9mm ammunition which is one of the most common pistol ammunitions to come across. As far as making each round, it can be done as well using casings and other materials too but I don’t remember them addressing it in the video. Not sure if they’re doing that, but it may be more likely that they chose this model because of the 9mm variant because it’s much more common to come across in their area than other ammunition.

    But another thing the video alludes to is that these are sort of something for getting an upgrade in weaponry. 3D printed firearms aren’t really reliable long term, especially these since they are mostly 3D printed and other parts aren’t designed for firearms. So the idea is that these weapons will help the rebels win more battles/skirmishes and then take better weaponry and ammunition in those battles to upgrade away from the 3D printed guns. Kind of like an investment they hope grows into something else.
