I like watching good comedies, any suggestions down in the comments would be wonderful.
I have loved watching IT Crowd, Big Bang Theory, Seinfeld, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The King of Queens, Cunk of Earth, Cunk of Britain, pretty much all of Ricky Gervais, and more shows that I’m not recalling at the moment.
Edit: I’ve also watched Psych, The Good Place, B99, Black Books, Third Rock From The Sun, Parks and Rec, Superstore, and Silicon Valley
COMMUNITY !!!
I may get back into it again since everybody keeps suggesting it to me
It’s streets ahead!
Didn’t spot 30 Rock, so I’ll put that suggestion in
Also 100% agree with everyone who suggested Community
Ted Lasso
Add to that Schmiggadoon!, Shrinking and Trying… appleTV+ has some excellent comedies, many now in second and third seasons so plenty to binge!
I’m absolutely loving “What We Do In The Shadows”
Older shows I still rewatch include Community and Psych. Both are absolutely extraordinary.
Psych is my all time favorite show. I don’t think Community stands a chance but that’s just my opinion.
I think they’re still in the middle of making the fourth Psych movie.
Poker Face starring Natasha Lyonne on Peacock.

I big time vouch for Joe Pera Talks With You. Not enough people talk about it. It’s so comfy, so funny, and goes by quicker than you want it to. Perfect show!
And also bajillion dollar properties
Kevin Can Fuck himself sounds like an interesting show.
It’s freaking amazing. Hooked me right away
Just tried out an episode. It’s a little too dark for me.
Well hopefully some of the other shows can fulfill what you’re looking for! I highly recommend trial & error to everyone I run into.
I tried Trial & Error. Didn’t really like it. However, I have been liking Veep so far. It reminds me of a more friendly The Thick Of It.
Well hopefully some of the other shows can fulfill what you’re looking for! I highly recommend trial & error to everyone I run into.
Trial & Error (freaking amazing)
only season 1, season 2 was terrible and I’m glad it got the show cancelled
- Workaholics
- The Righteous Gemstones
- Platonic
- Arrested Development
- 30 Rock
- Fired on Mars
- Shrinking
Oh how did I forget about Arrested Development? Amazing show, at least for the first 3 seasons.
Season 4 was kind of a dud for me, and I didn’t finish season 5.
100% agreed and don’t forget there’s always money in the banana stand!
Helpful when you may have committed a little light treason
My warm, comfy, tried-and-true go-to is Scrubs. Funny, heartfelt, an in the upper echelon of quick biting wit.
Thanks for being so amazing guys. Last time I made a recommendation post on Reddit, nobody gave me any comments.
I feel like you’d like Ted Lasso, also second the users who’ve said Ghosts (both US and UK).
Ted Lasso is amazing. The recent episodes are a bit different, I’m interested in the development of the show with the direction their heading on.
I think the tone is really reminiscent of stuff like Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill or Love Actually. Even though it got a bit more sad this season, it’s very wholesome and easy to watch.
I wouldn’t call it “sad” at all - each character has developed so they’re much more self-aware, and some have developed goals which may not be what people expect. It’s refreshing to see a comedy where characters aren’t stuck in stereotypes but actually grow.
I’m going to suggest some older shows, they may be hard to find on streaming, but they are on physical media:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titus_(TV_series)Better Off Ted:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Better_Off_Ted- Ghosts (the US version)
- Righteous Gemstones
- Miracle Workers
- Based on a true story
- Blockbuster
- The Great
- The Goldbergs
- Fresh Off the Boat
- Killing It
- Upload
Those are the ones that fall in and around the comedy genre that i recall enjoying in the last year…
If you’re looking for some older UK centric ones
- This Country
- Inbetweeners
- Two pints of lager
- Fresh Meat
- The Fast Show
- Harry Enfield and Pals
- My Family
If you liked IT Crowd and have a general interest in IT then check out Silicon Valley and it you like Chris O’Dowd in particular then check out “The Big Door Prize”
Another vote for Silicon Valley. Based on the list above, my guess is that this would be right up your alley!
Ghosts (the US version)
How can you say this, when that version doesn’t have Charlotte Richie in it. Not even once!
But it’s got Rose McIver in it and she’s great (sidenote iZombie also let her show she’s got a LOT of range)
Charlotte Richie i know… i know… but we do get Rose Mciver and i’m a big fan :)
Took up your suggestion for The Goldbergs and it seems like a pretty good show. Thanks for the recommendation.
I’ve already watched Silicon Valley, wonderful show. I will check out all your other suggestions
Deadloch, Class of 07, Psych, Ash vs Evil Dead, A Touch of Cloth
The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Maybe give James Acaster’s Repertoire a go if you like British standup!
The Good Place - fantastic all the way through (except i hate the last episode)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine - hilarious for the first few seasons, but when the show switched networks it became just good not great
I’ve watched Good Place and B99 already. Wonderful shows. I will check out James Acaster
Well I’m glad you have seen them but we need to find you more!
What We Do In The Shadows? The Mighty Boosh, Spaced, Peep Show, the many works of Alan Partridge?
I am sad I had to look this far for spaced. Spaced is great!
If you like IT Crowd, then Black Books is for you. One of the best comedies of that era. Start with the Grapes of Wrath Episode.
Peep Show is also great.
Black Books is fucking amazing. I will check out Peep Show as well.
