Bodycam and cellphone videos show a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy slamming a woman to the ground at a grocery store in Lancaster, California. Elaine Quijano reports.
Did you watch the report? The officer calmly walked over to the woman because she was recording them arresting a guy for shoplifting. There are certainly pieces of the footage missing from this report, but I’ll say there’s little reason to toss someone to the ground and pepper spray them. This certainly didn’t seem appropriate. She was not a threat to anyone and it’s not illegal to record the police.
