The PlayStation 5 continues to smash it

No. It doesn’t. I’ve read lots of articles implying the rate of adoption was slow, and most ps5 owners were just playing a lot of ps4 games for a long time.

It was shocking to me how little I cared. After like 4 years I own maybe 3 PS5 games and finished none of them.

To be factual, there have been numerous protests since January, at least 1 major nationwide protest per month from what I have been seeing anecdotally.

Also reports and estimates suggest the No Kings protest might have been one of largest nationwide protests in US history, like the Women’s Rights one in 2017. There’s another scheduled literally for today.

The US is not a monolith. It is impressive how quickly protests started after election, and how large they have been, how numerous the locations are they take place, and how sustained this has been for over 6 months now.

Not everyone agrees and will protest. Not everyone believes in protesting. Not everyone CAN protest. It is crazy though how many have and continue to. Clearly this is a very controversial and unpopular presidency.

Persecution fetish exists regardless how you treat them. Some just WANT to feel persecuted to feel like they have some kind of casus belli.

Also, you either experience and/or witness enough bigotry that you reach a point of being fucking done with the hateful spiteful pieces of shit. Apparently you’re too privileged to have to care.

But let me try to make this clear again. I grew up in it. I saw it. I know and love people today who go through it. There are those who think it’s just okay to decide some groups of people don’t warrant humanity and to even outwardly work to make those people’s lives harder or straight up fucking oppress or harm them.

I am a huge fan of the original. It did not take long for the trailer to seem like a Horizon game, and then it was clear it was a watered down ripoff. Agreed the similarities are way too obvious.

In the trailer there’s clearly some new things and different creatures Horizon doesn’t have, but the stylistic nature of it all is so damn similar.

Well, then I guess that explains a lot.

So it requires the effort and capability to go to a place that happens to have those cards. In some areas, that is more difficult and unlikely than others, and can be more difficult for the less financially fortunate.

Thus there’s added utility cost to the person when otherwise the existing digital payment model would be more accessible.

i.e. it’s a regressive solution and less ideal.

I liken it to the utility or economic tax that is attempting to vote in some areas where they make it more difficult to actually do it.

People spend $60+ to go to overpriced movie theaters to eat some food and watch a movie ONCE with a friend or family for about 2 hours, only to no longer have access to it immediately afterwards.

Nobody cares.

People spend $60+ to play a game for potentially tens or hundreds of hours and there’s a chance they might not have access to it years down the road when they likely have forgotten about it anyway.
