Everybody here is paycheck-to-paycheck. Missing work because you were illegally detained at a protest may be the difference between living in a crappy apartment, or living under a bridge.

Part of the 2025 playbook is to get trump unlimited unchecked power, and use the military to enforce it domestically. Riots in the streets would certainly do that.

Right now, trump is doing more harm to his constituents than to his enemies. Republican politicians can barely show their faces in their own distric here. Don’t give them another target to transfer that hate to.

Generally, if no one is going to account for it, just cave. They’re one asshole out of tens of not hundreds of customers you will help today. The time it takes to enforce the policy is probably not worth the cost of whatever they are bitching about. Worse comes to worse, check with your manager, they are paid to deal with jackasses, and have the authority to override charges or deny transaction and eject the customer from premises.

Seems like a lie. Bedbugs live in your walls and they come out at night. An old trick for getting rid of bedbug, fleas, scabies, and other parasites it’s to bag the affected material and leave it in your car for a few days. The high/low temps kills stuff pretty well.

If it was an Uber, the chances are that they picked up a person who had a bedbug or flea infestation, not that the car is permanently infested with the parasite. Also, you can bag and fume a car pretty cheaply. The idea that you would set fire to almost half a mil of inventory to get rid of a problem that can be solved with a single call to an exterminator seems ridiculous.

Well, the government organization that allowed consumers to complain, get the money back along with a settlement, and have the product recalled, was recently “fed into a wood chipper” by the guy who makes the cybertrucks.

For the most part, Automakers can determine if their vehicle is safe, as long as they have certain hardware requirements (Like airbags, backup cameras, and a roof that can support the weight of the vehicle.) Heck, I remember some Tesla engineer saying that the mirrors are only on the truck because they couldn’t get the legislation mandating them removed in time to replace them with cameras.

…And the owners manual is probably digital and accessed via the infotainment system. (Shout-out to the fuckers at Ford who did this.)

One I can think of… I want to my local pharmacy last week to get an MMR shot, and was refused. They pretty much wont do it without a Dr’s order.
