This is definitely one that I absolutely must watch in the theater. I can’t wait!

It’s the first non-marvel move other than Oppenheimer that I’m truly geeked for.

Like, I’m a huge Ant-Man fan, (we do exist) but even for Quantumania, I was… Rightfully cautious…

But I don’t feel that way about Dune and… Christopher Nolan movies.

It’s a nice change of pace to not have the trepidation.

I dunno. I kind of felt cheated after the first one. It was good, but it was half a movie.

I’ll probably watch this one at home on bluray or whatever so I can watch both parts in one sitting.

No one is going to sit through a 5-6 hour movie. Well. Most people won’t. They broke it at the perfect moment. While I wasn’t initially thrilled about the long wait between both halves, it does add a sense of realism in that time has passed in the real world too and the younger actors might look a bit older now. They weren’t shy about it being only part of the adaptation either.

They could have released them 2 weeks apart (which is still too much) or just skipped the theatrical release so you can watch the 5-6 hour movie at your pace. People regularly binge through entire seasons of TV series on Netflix.

I agree that you don’t want to be in the theater for that long, but who says movies have to be released in cinemas? Watching at home is a much better experience than even the best cinemas can offer.

That series tried to be so true to the books, but just didn’t have the acting muscle behind it to really shine.

      I do love it though.

I’d imagine some major chains will. I’m probably going to see it at the drive in though, since they always do a double feature for this kind of thing.

My once-a-year foray into the movie theaters will be in THE LARGEST IMAX SCREENING AVAILABLE. November can get here faster And Villeuenue is working on Dune: Messiah as well, the man is saving sci-fi cinema by himself

You either like Dune, or you don’t.

      I wouldn’t disparage anyone that didn’t.

But damn… The books are amazing. Once you read them, seeing the different takes on the story from the 80’s movie, to the miniseries, to the latest interpretation.

      It’s amazing.

i still don’t understand why Geidi Prime just missed out on that whole “color” concept

also why the fuck does the trailer spoil so much, you know what part I’m referring to.

but still I’m hyped as fuck for this, I was prompted to read the book thanks to the first movie, and i only have the appendix left, such an awesome and long book.

Watching this trailer makes me want to watch part one again, shame I don’t own it! Better start looking for a cheap copy in 4K.

I had always meant to get around to reading the books, but then the movie came out so I watched that first. Anyway it’s an amazing world and I immediately started reading the books as well and I love those too
