There’s a church steeple opposite where we live. It’s 200’ (61m) tall. There’s a guy up there on a ladder. I don’t know what he’s doing (I hope he does).

It’s safe though: he’s wearing a hat.

No way could I climb that ladder!

    Customer Service. It’s a crime how those workers are underappreciated; there is no way I could withstand that level of psychological abuse.

    I know a guy who climbs towers and bridges to check cable…it’s either in your genes or it’s not lol
    He’ll send me videos and my hands will be sweating just watching them!

      Did it for years - takes a bit to get used to the tower you are attached to swaying when you’re 300’ up.

      Before my company I was with would send people for the expensive training, they’d have people try climbing up one of their towers 50’ or so with experienced techs to see if they could manage it (proper safety gear and all of course). I’d say 2/3 would panic and come down at about the 30’ mark
