      While this is true, I have yet to find a way to do this on any non PC interface. :(

        There’s a high-precision scrub mode that might help. I believe you have to drag towards the top of the screen to go from regular scrub to high-precision scrub.

          Yeah, that doesn’t really work right anymore either. It’s great for videos that’re like an hour long to find the right minute, but it’s nowhere near as useful on anything shorter.

      Yes, but one second is a long time to press a button, especially when you’re expecting it and have your finger hovering over said button.

        In many cases I have seen, the text is only up for a frame or two, not a whole second. (despite what the original picture says)

    Trying to do this on a mobile phone screen is the worst. Either you tap repeatedly, but then you just know you’re gonna mistap when the frame finally appears. Or you try to time it just right, and then precisely in that moment, those stupid UI controls fade out.
