Reza Baluchi tried to "run" from Florida to London in a homemade vessel during hurricane season.

Extremely tenuous AD link here, I know, but this is just so ridiculous, that it could have been part of the show.

I hope he has a good maritime lawyer.

    Lol I say let the man live. They should make him come up with a plan for safely extracting his vessel without polluting the ocean though, and maybe make him hire some pilot boats like long distance swimmers do.

      I felt the same way, but apparently he had tried something similar back in 2021 and failed trying to go to New York and had to be rescued. So guess the concern can be somewhat about taking away valuable resources to save his life when he fails.
