“The game allows me to do this, that means I’m not an asshole for doing this!” - Every griefer ever.
I agree with you, but also this argument is constantly used against snipers sniping in games that have snipers. It happens in every battlefield game I play and now battlebit as well.
You shouldn’t have to be griefed, but there’s a line between being griefed and getting killed in ways you don’t think should be in the game. There’s merit in telling someone to switch games if they don’t like parts of the game and are whining about it. But there’s no merit in griefing and saying the same.
That’s why griefers like Rust. They get to do both. I have no idea how people still play because it’s literally impossible to break in and get started. It’s a self-culling population. I like the idea of Rust, but really wish I hadn’t paid for it.
hell let loose has neat system for snipers, requires 2 players, 1 sniper 1 spotter and as a result almost everyone runs infantry. fun game, very battlefieldy.
Sea of Thieves. I don’t know how many times I’ve gotten hate mail for sinking somebody.
you signed up for pvp, stop crying or move to a role playing server nerd.
It’s right there, as written by the ESRB lawyers:
Experience may change with online play
If you get tilted at a sweaty who knows the maps and meta, that’s your skill issue. Staying in the same lobby is you voluntarily agreeing for another round. Change lobby, get over it and do better, or go touch grass. Some of the biggest learning experiences in games are when I get my ass handed to me, and you watch the replay/killcam/demo file.
Smurfing is just pathetic bullying tho
